What are signs of Transmission problems?

Some signs can include fluid leaking, noises when in and out of gear, erratic shifting, or gear slipping. If a service engine light is on, never ignore it because a possibly small problem detected by the cars computer could result in a large and more costly problem when ignored. Early detection and action can lead to saving money.

The simple answer to this dilemma is up to the customer. When you get a transmission from the junk yard you never know what you are really getting, it could work great or it could set up a long and expensive relationship with you and the junk yard. When you buy a transmission that is rebuilt you have a warranty on it and a reputable Automotive facility that honors its work. So what it comes down too is the choice to take the risk and save money or spend a little extra and have a piece of mind that your car is going to work.
